A: No, there isn’t, unless you are a FERS disability retiree. If you are a FERS disability retiree, you aren’t eligible for the SRS.

disability retirement age 60 due to recurrent rare cancer. provided ssa disability award info with original retirement package. after two and half year notified of overpayment. submitted health and finance and waiver info. Recently received second notice to update finance info. I am sick and further burdened daily. I trusted the experts at OPM to get it right at a time I am going through surgery, chemo and overseeing husbands’ health issues and just paying bills. Why am I troubled with this?
Unfortunately, because it’s required by law and regulation.
