I have been told numerous times and get the fact that a Voluntary Early Retirement Authority/Voluntary Separation Incentive Pay is not an “entitlement.” I have been asked at two different VERA/VSIP offers, if I would take a VERA/VSIP and twice have told them to put me on the top of the list. In both instances, I was told no. Can an organization ask you if you would take the offer knowing that they would deny you? I am in CSRS and have the years in service (31) but not the age.
