Q. I would like to retire March 26, 2014. Can I continue to be on payroll and use my leave balance until it exhausts from January 2014 through March 26, 2014?
A. No. There isn’t any provision in the federal civilian government for terminal leave. And that fact has been made abundantly clear by a Comptroller General decision.
