Q. I work at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. I’ve heard that when I retire, the environmental pay/hazard pay is computed into our retirement. Is this true?
A. It is if you are a wage system employee; it isn’t if you are GS or some other employment category. The surest sign that it’s included is if retirement deductions are taken from that portion of your pay. If in doubt, check with your payroll office.
