Working on contract after retirement

0

Q. I retired in May 2011. I’d like to work for a company that held a contract with us when I was a government employee. Is there a law or a statute of limitations that would hinder/stop me from working with the contractor on a contract with my old agency?

A. The Office of Government Ethics has a publication that may help you understand what you can and can’t do after retirement. You’ll find it at www.oge.gov/topics/post-government-employment/after-leaving-government.
