Resignation, annual leave and sick leave

0

Q. I am resigning from federal service soon to begin a job in private industry. Will I get paid for the remaining annual leave I still have on the books, or do I lose it? And sick leave?

A. When you leave, you’ll receive a lump-sum payment for your unused annual leave. Sick leave has no cash value. However, if you return to federal government employment, that unused balance would be recredited to you.
