VERA vs. VSIP

Q. What is the difference between VERA and VSIP?

A. The Voluntary Early Retirement Authority allows employees to retire who are at least age 50 and have 20 years of service or at any age with 25. When a Voluntary Separation Incentive Payment is offered, an employee can accept it even if he or she isn’t eligible to retire.
