Q. Are air traffic controllers who are forced to retire under mandatory retirement rules eligible to collect unemployment in New York state?

  1. I am drawing my csrs pension from the post office. I’ve had another job for 3 years since retirement, and am now unemployed due to covid-19. Am I eligible for unemployment payments for the job I was laid off from?

    • The rules governing unemployment benefits for those who are receiving a pension differ state by state. The only way to find out if you would qualify is to check with your state’s employment office.
