Q. I’m in the Senior Executive Service under FERS. Do you know a website that I can plug in dates of service, education and ending title — i.e. program manager — to find out estimated current retirement income?

A. Because such things as education and ending title are irrelevant, you can estimate an annuity with only two pieces of information — the average of your highest three consecutive years of average basic pay and your total amount of creditable service. You’ll plug them into this formula: .01 x your high-3 x your years and full months of service. Of course, you also have to meet the age and service requirements to retire.
