I’ve heard some activities are getting offered Voluntary Early Retirement Authority but haven’t heard anything from my own activity. How can I get offered a VERA? Can I apply for it somewhere? Is there a list of activities that are currently offering VERA?
A. You can’t “get offered a VERA” nor can you “apply for it.” If your agency is granted the right to offer a VERA, it will notify everyone who is eligible. If you are one of those, you can take advantage of the offer.
