Q. I am a FERS employee and will have 24 years of service on July 7. I will be 60 on July 18. Can I qualify for the OPM (FERS) supplement if I retire this year?
A. Any FERS employee who is age 60 or older can retire on an unreduced annuity with 20 years of service and receive the special retirement supplement.
