Q. My 88-year-old mother, who receives a survivor annuity death benefit, was recently placed in a nursing home. Medicaid has requested confirmation of the amount she pays for insurance (so it can be deducted from the nursing home expenses). How can we obtain an itemization of the amount being withheld from her monthly payment?
