Cashing out unused sick leave

0

Q. Hi, I’m a former student employee with the Department of Defense. The student program I was in was cut, and my annual leave was cashed out. My boss told me that she would put me on sick leave to use up my hours, but I still have a balance. How can I get these hours cashed out?

A. You can’t. Unused sick leave has no cash value.
