Q. I am 56 and have worked 31 continuous years at the same place.

I’m ready for a change of employment; as a CSRS employee, am I entitled to retirement benefits?

A. Yes. Any CSRS employee can retire at age 55 with 30 years of service.

If you want to retire, go to your personnel office, get the necessary form, fill it out and have your agency process your application.
