Waive military retirement?

0

Q. I have 15 years and five months on active duty and, to date, another year and two months of active-duty time as an individual mobilization augmentee/reservist. I just began a GS job and was presented the opportunity to buy back my military service. If I do, but serve enough active duty time as a reservist to earn a 20 year active-duty retirement, will I have to waive that military pension to receive a civil service pension?

A. No.
