Health insurance after retirement

0

Q. I will retire in August or September. Can I keep my Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance? If so, what do I need to do?

A. Yes, if you were enrolled in the Federal Employees Health Benefits program for the five consecutive years before you retire or, if taking your agency’s approved early retirement offer, were enrolled before that offer was authorized. No, if you weren’t.
