Severance pay and military pension

0

Q. I am a current federal worker going through management-directed reassignment and am being told that I am not entitled to severance pay because I am receiving a pension for my military service. Is that true?

A. Yes. An employee is not eligible for severance pay if he or she is eligible upon separation for an immediate annuity from a federal civilian retirement system or from the uniformed services.
