Annuity calculation

Q. I worked for the Postal Service for 11 years under FERS. Will I receive a pension? How do I find out how much I would receive?

A. If you didn’t receive a refund of your contributions when you left, you’ll be eligible for a deferred annuity at age 62. To figure out how much it would be, use this formula: .01 x your highest three consecutive years of average basic pay on the day you left x you years and full months of service.
