Q. I will complete 23 years in the Postal Service next month. I am 48 years old. Can I collect a pension?

A. No. You don’t have the age and service needed to retire. Even if your agency were to offer early retirement opportunities to its employees, you wouldn’t qualify. Besides your 20+ years of service, you’d need to be at least age 50.
