I am retiring at the end of December with the fire department. If I accept a GS-11 position with another agency at the same base where I am currently working, how will that affect my retirement? Do I just shift from the fire department to the new job and everything stays the same?
A. No, it won’t stay the same. The salary of your new position would be reduced by the amount of your annuity.

As a reemployed DSR annuitant, can annuitantss be promoted to higher pay grades? I now work for DOD Dept of the Navy?
There is no bar to a reemployed annuitant being promoted to a higher grade.
