Sick leave

Q. I’m about to retire and I have unused sick time. I’m 67 years old and have 10 years of federal service. Can I be paid for the unused sick leave?

A. No, you can’t be paid. Your unused sick leave will be added to your actual service and, if there is enough of it, used in the computation of your annuity.
