I retired more than 25 years (Civil Service) ago on a Retirement Disability. I am applying for
a job with TSA. My questions are listed below.
1. Do i have return rights to federal employment?
2. Will my seniority resume (CS time = 20 years & 1 month)? (added to the 20 years)
3. Will my pension stop and resume after I re-retire?
4. What percent of m base pay will I receive after 25 years at the age of 70?
5. Will my pension be based on my last high 3 years?
1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. Yes, unless you are hired under an authority that allows you to receive both your annuity and the salary of your new position.
4. Here’s the formula:
1.5 percent of your high-3 X 5 years of service, plus
1.75 percent of your high-3 X 5 years of service, plus
2.0 percent of your high-3 X all remaining years and full months of service.
5. Yes.
