Q. I would like to be eligible for the 1.1 multiplier. As I already have 2,700-plus hours of sick leave (more than 1 year), does this mean I could retire at 61 years of age? In other words, do years of service also include unused sick leave?
A. No. Sick leave is only added after the length of service requirement is met.

It’s pretty plain that YOU MUST BE 62+ YEARS OF AGE with at least 20 years of FERS Service time to be eligible for the FERS Multiplier bonus of 1.1% per year of FERS Service!
