Service computation date

0

Q. Is my service computation date the total number of years that will be “creditable” to compute my retirement annuity/pension?

A. It usually is, but not always. If you served in the military and were given annual leave accrual credit for that time, the SCD would be based on that. However, if you are a FERS employee, unless you made a deposit to get credit for that service, it wouldn’t be included in your retirement SCD.
