FEHB retiree premiums

0

Q. When I retire, I plan to keep my Federal Employees Health Benefits coverage. Will my payment remain what my portion was, or will the government portion be added to it to increase my out of pocket expenses?

A. Unless you are a Postal Service employee, your premiums will be the same in retirement as they were when you worked. The premiums of Postal Service workers are subsidized by their employer. When they retire, they pay the same premiums as everyone else.
