Medicare parts B and D

0

Q. I am retiring under FERS and continuing health insurance coverage. Why do I need Medicare Part B or D? Doesn’t my health insurance provide these benefits? Why would I want both?

A. You’ll have to figure out if Medicare Part B is worth the money by comparing its coverage with your Federal Employees Health Benefits plan. On the other hand, few federal employees would gain anything by enrolling in Part D.
