Re-employment

Q. I retired Feb. 28, 2013, at my minimum retirement age with 13 years. Can I be rehired in another position to get my 20 years in? I was a rural mail carrier.

A. If you are rehired, your annuity will continue and your salary will be offset by the amount of your annuity. However, if you are employed for at least one year of full-time service, you’ll be entitled to a supplemental annuity; if five years, a redetermined annuity.
