A. You aren’t required to sign up for Medicare Part D, and very few people enrolled in an FEHB plan do so voluntarily.

Because this is a site for federal employees and retirees, we don’t know what would happen to your BCBS coverage when you become eligible for Medicare. You’ll have to check with your former employer.
