Annuity multiplier

Q. If you retire at the MRA with over 30 years of service, is your annuity based on 1.1 percent or is it 1 percent?

A. It would be 1 percent. Only employees who retire at age 62 or older with at least 20 years of service have their annuities computed using the 1.1 percent multiplier.

  1. I’m a Air Traffic Controller and will turn 56 (MRA) on 01/20/2019 with 36 years “Good time”. Pay period ends on 01/19/2019. What is the earliest date that I can retire with 1.7%?
