COLA for CSRS Offset employee

1

Q. As a CSRS Offset employee, I accepted a VERA with a deduction in my annuity because I am under age 55. Will I still be entitled to a COLA?

A. Yes, you will. CSRS (including CSRS Offset) employees are entitled to an annual cost-of-living adjustment, regardless of the age at which they retire. The amount will be proportional to the number of months they are on the annuity roll.
