Remarriage

2

Q. I am considering remarrying. Would I still be able to collect retirement benefits and insurance provided by my deceased husband?

A. If you remarried after age 55, your benefits wouldn’t be affected, If you remarried before age 55, your benefits would end unless you were married for at least 30 years to the individual on whose service your survivor annuity is based. If that were the case, your benefits would continue.
