Age penalty

Q. I will be eligible to retire in 2019 at age 56 with 33 years of service. Will I be penalized? And, if so, what percentage would it be?

A. Since you were born in the period 1953 through 1964, you’ll be retiring at your minimum retirement age. And because you’ll have at least 30 years of service. there won’t be any age penalty.
