VERA and special retirement supplement eligibility

0

Q. I am 53 years old with 34 years government service. I have been offered Voluntary Early Retirement Authority. Will I be able to get the special retirement supplement, or do I have to meet an age requirement?

A. If you accept the offer of early retirement, you’ll be entitled to the special retirement supplement when you reach your minimum retirement age, which in your case would be 56.
