Deferred annuity

Q. I am a FERS-covered employee. I will have 20 years of creditable service at my minimum retirement age of 56. Can I take a deferred annuity at age 60 without any reduction? Or do I have to take it at age 62 since I’m considering the MRA+10 retirement option?

A. Because you’d be retiring under the MRA+10 provision, you’d have to wait until age 62 to receive an unreduced annuity.
