Q. I’m in the MRA+10 category. If I leave government and apply for a postponed annuity, when can I enroll in FEHB? And, if so, would it be only after receiving an annuity or only during Open Season?
A. When you apply for your postponed annuity, let OPM know that you want to re-enroll in the FEHB program. Then when you annuity begins. so will your FEHB coverage.

On a postponed MRA+10 FERS Annuity, to be eligible to reenroll in FEHB once your FERS Pension payments begin, did you have to be enrolled in a FEHB plan at a minimum the last five consecutive years your were employed by FedGov before you left FedGov service via MRA+10 postponed retirement?
I just read on OPM’s FERS INFORMATION website that if you postpone receipt of your FERS Retirement Annuity under the MRA+10 provision to a later date after your retirement/separation date, that to be eligible to reenroll in FEHB when your FERS Annuity payments begin YOU INDEED MYST HAVE BEEN ENROLLED IN A FEHB PLAN AND PAID PREMIUMS FOR THE IMMEDIATE FIVE YEARS PRIOR TO YOUR SEPARATION/RETIREMENT DATE!!

You left out one exception. An employee must have been enrolled in the five consecutive years before retirement OR FROM THE EMPLOYEE’S FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO ENROLL.
Thanks.
I’m in the MRA+10 category. I resigned my position. Can i draw my annuity at age 62 without reduction?
